MoCO Home Invasions mini update 9-26-07

This is interesting. I didn't see it in the WashPost writeups that week. We'll have to see if the Post puts it in their crime reports.

County Police Report

The following is a summary of recent incidents in the First (Rockville) and Fourth (Wheaton-Glenmont) districts to which the Montgomery County Police responded.

Attempted home invasion robbery

*On Sept. 9 at 12:35 a.m. in the 700 block of Hurley Avenue in Rockville. One man rang the doorbell, told the victim that he needed to use the phone to call 911 for his friend who was just struck by a car. The victim refused entry, but opened the door to give the man a cell phone. A second man emerged from the bushes. No entry gained. The first robber is described as white, 18-20, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140 short black hair, wearing a black T-shirt. The second is described as white, 18-20, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 240 pounds, heavy build.
