CRIME REPORT

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

DISTRICT 2 BETHESDA STATION

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GLENBROOK RD.,6800 block, Jan. 21 to Jan. 22. A male was reported inside a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

GLENBROOK RD.,7900 block, Jan. 21. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a back door, which was damaged in the attempt.

WILSON LANE,5300 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 18. A male attempted to enter a residence through a door but was interrupted by a resident when the intruder turned the doorknob.

DISTRICT 3 SILVER SPRING STATION

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

WHITMOOR TERR.,100 block, 6:37 p.m. Jan. 28. An attempt to enter a residence was interrupted by someone inside the home.

WOODSON AVE.,11200 block, 6:25 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

DISTRICT 5 GERMANTOWN STATION

HOMICIDE

EMERALD WAY,12000 block, 10:35 p.m. Jan. 27. Jo Anna Delgardo, 37, was found conscious inside her home with several apparent stab wounds to her torso. She was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a local trauma center, and after several hours of emergency surgery, Delgardo died. A male acquaintance, 31, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CREAMERY HILL DR.,12900 block, 4:06 a.m. Jan. 29. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

DAMASCUS RD.,1:15 to 1:25 p.m. Jan. 25. A man described as having bad teeth and freckles attempted to enter a residence.

DISTRICT 6 GAITHERSBURG STATION

HOMICIDE

MARTINS DAIRY CIR.,3600 block, 9:57 p.m. Jan. 23. Police responding to a call about a possible burglary found Gennaro James Fato, 74, with a fatal gunshot wound. The case is under investigation.
